About Sleepy House Lion

Sleepy House Lion began as a simple desire to share the love for a very special cat with the world.

Hello I’m Lisa 👋 the owner and artist behind Sleepy House Lion. I've been an artist for as long as I could remember: I made embarrassing comic books, exhibited my paintings at shows, sold my first painting at the age of 15 and doodled Sailor Moon and Cardcaptor Sakura in my notebooks at school. My love for stationery and art sparked this journey and I am so happy that you are here!

The name Sleepy House Lion is inspired by my beloved cat, whom I adopted in 2011. His golden fur often reminds me of a little lion cub. I couldn't ignore the idea of having my very own house lion. And so, the name was born.

Based in small city in Ontario, Canada, Sleepy House Lion is a labor of love. Each product is hand drawn and designed with a lot of care.
